Seem Sarr and Dennis finally moving from Watford.
Dennis and Sarr should both be playing for top 10 clubs, i think they're both real quality players. Forest showing a lot of ambition this summer, but we've seen it before with the likes of Fulham it by no means guarantees safety.
I don't really rate Sarr, to be honest, but Dennis is definitely a talented striker. Of course, but most players tend to be influenced by what happened in their childhood onwards rather than before. Like how many 25 years old really care about Koeman, Romario etc? Or even Cruyff?
In the same way we are dining off TH, but far less of the kids today care about much before that.
Really good signing for Forest. Also glad seeing him in the Prem.
IIRC they pretty much had to, because they had a ****load of loans last season.I feel like they've gone a bit OTT with the squad rebuild. They have signed over 10 players.
Isn't there a limit in the Championship on the number of players a team can loan?IIRC they pretty much had to, because they had a ****load of loans last season.
If all their signings come in, their starting 11 looks decently strong. Depending on how fast the manager gets them into shape and considering how good Fulham looked against Liverpool both teams *could* make some impact this seaon leaving a very interesting relegation battle.
I'm certainly not talking like Barca are dead. Of course they aren't. They are only a decade away from the best team in living memory, and as you say are still more than decent.A lot, its passed down.
In continents like South America its huge, parents idolise Barcelona/Madrid and it gets passed down generations.
You can even apply the logic to leagues, La Liga and Serie A hold a certain prestige in South America, that again has been passed down generations and will continue to do so.
The Henry and Arsenal comparison is nowhere near the same.
There are certain clubs which have so much prestige that players will always hold them to a certain level unless there is complete destruction which includes relegations and depths which Barcelona wont hit when they are essentially in a 2 horse race.
You're talking like Barca are dead, they finished 2nd last season, CL every year and have strengthened.
Also, De Jong for one cares about Cruyff and Koeman.
Raphinha will care about Romario.
They will always attract players who will leave a legacy to follow.
In addition to all that, young kids now have easy access to the footage of old legends unlike previous generations. A 10 year old kid could very well idolize Dennis Bergkamp off old footage on YouTube, the odds double if their parents or an older relative show them such footage.A lot, its passed down.
