We shouldn't have signed White, tbh.
Should have been playing Saliba-Holding-Gabriel in a 3 this season, and sacked Arteta this summer to convince William to come back.
We could do this with Ben, but Saliba is better...plus with Rob starting every week, we would have had someone to give the armband too whenever Auba is out...and we could stop letting Xhaka ****ing have it!

Average defense, can't pass the ball, high but the ability to contest the ball is poor, often choose the wrong position. Just for backup.

Not trying to defend him or anything but Nesta or Tony Adams would have struggled with Kola and Chambers alongside in a back 3.
An average backup nothing more white and Gabriel need to stay healthy for most season.
That was Chambers, who has been horrendous so far this season.

A somewhat limited defender but still don't mind him as a squad player and the occasional game with better defenders around him. Shouldnt be the leader of our defence.

White and Gabriel better be a huge step up cos I don't think them making much of a difference to our defence tbh, we've already seen what Gabriel is capable of and Ben White is a nobody we spent 50m on. We need David Luiz.

Thought he was quite good in all seriousness, did some very fine individual defending.
A Chambers disaster, plus a regular Sead performance, was the main reason we collapsed...Xhaka was a disgrace too (plus the team Arteta picked was bizarre, to say the least)
People can mock Holding all they want, but our best formation with this squad includes him in it...3 at the back, White-Rob-Gabriel.
