It's possible it might have been handled differently by Mikel or another manager, but as I said, I honestly can't image this scenario unfolding under a well known experienced manager. By the way lool up how Ten Hag handled two players at Ajax Youness and Noa Lang. They undermined his regime once and he did not let that pass. He got a lot of flack for the way he handled that.
