Remember in January we thought we were buying the league and then had to settle for jorginho. Yeah lets not get carried away on the first day.

How can he be plan B? The objective is to improve our side and increase depth. Rice is signed. Caicedo is part of Plan A.
Because I think we'll target more of an attacking midfielder as our other midfield signing. We still have Partey and Jorginho. Only way I could see us simultaneously targeting Rice and Caicedo is if we're looking to phase Partey out.

We need a better defender than both Partey and Jorginho. Our attack was not the problem last season. If we do not strengthen the defense we will likely regress as other teams improve. Also Caicedo was an 8 who was recently moved to 6, so he can play both positions at high quality.
