Not A Big Believer In Diversity

Young players can always show elite ability in training. Football is littered with massive talents who didn't make it at the top level. As a manager you have to be willing to give them the opportunity to showcase that talent on the pitch. If it works out, then great, if it doesn't then at least you know. It's best that you play them and see what they can offer. You don't have to play them in the big games but you can play them and see how they do. Sending them on loan and hoping they get the same kind of experience that they could get playing with your team is a cop out.Unless they're a super talent (and that'll be evident in training) then there's no point risking it. You can just take a young CB play him and then he magically turns into De Ligt. It would have been apparent from a very young age how special De Ligt was, not only in terms of his ability but his character too. It's a rare breed. Throwing a young CB into a title race could end up ruining a young players career. It'd be better if they had a few loans to gain experience, then maybe once they get experience of first team football and even PL football they might be ready. Promoting a young CB will end up costing you points in the short term. City cannot afford that so it's safer to go with the experience even if they're not top level like Laporte.
Are you being incredibly racist again?Sterling

No chance. Abu Diaby wouldn't accept it.Pool will win the league comfortably. City are struggling a bit on both ends of the pitch against Everton. Pep's got his excuses out regarding not having money to buy CB's. Pep will leave City at some point and Pool are going to dominate English football. We're doomed.
