Re: Stuart Downing

Someone is having a laugh at our expense

Stuart f***ing Downing. Hahahaha I'd sooner spend that money keeping Nasri at the club thank you very much.

If we have 20 million to spend, we can spend it a helluva lot better than Downing

Re: Stuart Downing

Hopefully this is just us making Liverpool hurry up and sign him so we can go ahead and make a move for Mata. If we are really interested i've given up for next season.

Downing? Shoot me now.

Re: Stuart Downing

Aye, imagine breaking our transfer record for Stewart ****ing Downing, whilst Cesc and Nasri move away.

Said it before but samaritans will be busy.

Re: Stuart Downing

If we sign a player as woefully inept and one dimensional as Downing for 18 million then Arsène should be sacked

Re: Stuart Downing

Sky were running this story on their yellow ticker earlier.

Wenger would never, ever spend 15m+ on Downing. Never. Crazy.

Re: Stuart Downing

This HAS to be a wind-up by Villa to extract as much from Pool as possible. It CAN'T be because of genuine interest on our part.

He's simply not a Wenger player.

Re: Stuart Downing

Yeah most likely explanation is that its a stunt from someone inside villa to get pool to pay up.

Why won't it be happening?

As some already said, we won't break our transfer record for Stewart Downing.
I'm sure those rumours came from Villa themselves, just to put pressure on Dalglish.

Re: Stuart Downing

Yeah but it's written in May . It just could be that he is a target .

At the same time he is pointless to the way we play .

Arsenal Quotes

I knew we were very different, that he (Ferguson) had a total hold over his club while at that time I was still more of a coach. I also recognised his huge qualities. He knew how to surround himself with the right people and didn't rest on his laurels when he was successful.
