Welcome Sanogo.

Its weird, this is in no way the signing I want, but I am oddly confident. I have a feeling he is going to be a success.

I also believe we will make a couple of marquee signings, so I feel ok about this.

Can contracts not be signed until July 1st?

As far as I know, players from France can sign contracts with the club beforehand, but the player doesn't actually become an Arsenal player until July 1st. So it's like signing a contract dated July 1st - you've signed your future to the club, but it doesn't take effect until July.

Auxerre president confirms he is having his medical.

Good start to the summer. Big guy's got potential and he's free. Add Jovetic and we're rolling.

Arsenal comes Y.Sanogo

In the columns of the Yonne Republican Guy Cotret, President of Auxerre, confirmed the departure of Yaya Sanogo at Arsenal.
Yaya Sanogo at Arsenal, it is no longer a matter of hours. President of Auxerre, Guy Cotret, confirmed the transfer of striker AJA to the Gunners. "He gave us his answer. He chose to join Arsenal and so he left his past medical there, "he said.

but Holding’s hair transplant was painless
Really doubt he'll play much of a role next year, but then again I though the same of Jenkinson.

I'm sure we'll see him in the CC to begin with but I'm excited about him as he's just the type of player that we lacked this season. Big, powerful, fast and a goal scorer. A real handful upfront. But I guess his age would mean that he's at least a year or two away from the 1st team. Mind you M'baye Niang at Milan is younger and playing 1st team footie, so lets see.

Niang hasn't scored any goals from his 10 starts and 12 sub appearances though. Looks a top prospect though

This should kill off any rumours about all-out striker like Higuain... still hope we're in for Jovetic though.

Unless there's someone leaving, can't see us getting more than Sanogo + 1 more established forward.

Forwards: Giroud/Podolski/Sanogo
Wingers: Walcott/Jovetic/AOC/Gervinho

The above 2 position are almost interchangeable, so there's actually more than 1 centreforward than just Giroud.

I'm happy with the above for the attacking department.... depending on any leavers of course.

Then a DM/CB/GK each... Arsenal should be in safe hands for fighting the title rather than Sp**s.

He scored a pretty clever goal last night for Auxerre (it shows up on the right side of the video):
<a class="postlink" href="http://rutube.ru/video/a140796c9ade24331ee54f6208817743/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://rutube.ru/video/a140796c9ade2433 ... 208817743/</a>

Hit it back across the face of the goal on the volley to beat the keeper who was expecting a more conventional shot in the far post.
