He is defensively one of the worst players we've had in a while, and that's something when you consider all the garbage that we've had here.
Stupid fouls in and around the box, can't press or tackle, just to slow to make any kind of defensive contribution. As soon as you add Özil to that midfield you get one of the worst combination possible to protect your defence.
Unfortunately we will have both of them here next year, so I can't see any defensive improvement even if we bring a new CB.
