Don't see the issue with the problem, here, as long as it's at a decent amount (at least 15m). Tavares is a good talent and I expect he'll do well at Marseille. If they don't take the option we can sell him to another club.

Although it's not ideal, if we get his wages covered plus a £2-3m loan fee then it's not the end of the world. We'd still cover his initial fee after a few loans and likely recoup more from sales before his contract ends. This was a pretty low risk punt signing. It's not worked out, but there's still every chance he either improves as a player or turns as profit.
