Thing is with Footballers so much is down to confidence.
A couple of errors and the confidence will drop & so will performance.
He by all accounts had a few dodgy moments in the 1st half of last season but then performed really well 2nd half & got an England call up.
Its hard enough to maintain confidence and overcome adversity even without all the external noise.
Unfortunately You only need one poor game & idiots on social media start hurling abuse.
Actually its far worse than even that nowadays as you get abused before you even sign by Mr Internet Wanka..

Back in the day supporters still got p!ssed if they saw clueless football and their team losing so easily to a team like Brentford having spent ten times more than them on players. Particularly if their club gave away an outstanding goalkeeper and then paid twice as much for a worse one.

I like Woj but its fair to say he had some dodgy moments & got lots of stick as a young keeper.
We have not had a top keeper for decades.
Some clubs in this leagues are dropping 60m+ on keepers & even that isnt guaranteed & so you end up with Kepa as 2nd choice.
This kid is young & will make mistakes.

No one outside this forum reads it here though, think theres a difference. Most stuff said on here is out of humour and if it isn't no one will get wind of it. AFTV is awful because their reach is massive.

None of this is Ramsadale’s fault. He’s seen Runarsson get £40k/week out of the club and realises that Arteta and Edu have no idea what they’re doing. If he can capitalise on that, good luck to him.

He‘ll probably be loaned to Millwall or similar club after couple of seasons (and that is his actual level) afterwards his contract will run up and he‘ll join some Championship club for free, because no one will want to buy him and pay high wages for such below average goalkeeper.
Anyway, good luck to the lad, he‘s an Arsenal player now, clubs incompetence in transfer market is not his fault.

Give the guy a chance. Most of the angst is because we let Emi go for 20m last season and showed us that the board made a mistake. The fee we are paying is not any reflection on the player, nor is the previous bad business that the club did.
That has nothing to do with Ramsdale’s ability to be a top performer for the club.
After seeing Leno being bullied by a long throw last weekend, someone a bit more ‘agricultural’ may be no bad thing.
He’ll come in as backup and i hope he proves his point and nails down the #1 spot.

You could make a good case that Leno needs replacing. He's an above average goalkeeper who's going through a poor spell, who knows if it's terminal.
Okay, the issue is replacing Leno with a young, currently average keeper at best, who's ceiling is pretty hard to guess at this point and he's costing us a fee that will likely put him in the top 10 most expensive goalkeepers ever.
